I was lucky enough to attend the Knutsford at Home event, what a fantastic day it was even in the pouring rain!
As a Knutsford local, and as someone who runs Serene Space by Sally, my professional home organising and decluttering business here in Cheshire, it felt like the perfect event to enjoy. Not only did I get to meet lots of friendly faces, but I also came away with bags of inspiration and a few ideas for my own projects and clients.
The event really showcased the best of what Knutsford has to offer in terms of interiors, design, and home styling. It was wonderful to see so many businesses opening their doors and sharing tips, trends, (lots of fizz!) and ideas for creating stylish, welcoming homes. Here are some of my highlights from the day.
Arthur Lee Interiors – A Colour Lover’s Dream
Arthur Lee Interiors has long been one of my favourite local shops, so I was thrilled to stop by. They had some fantastic special offers on paint sample pots, cushions, and accessories, which were very tempting! What really stood out was the demo from Little Greene Paint and Farrow & Ball tinting machines – so clever to see colours being created right before your eyes.
I also enjoyed a talk from Charlotte Hayes from The Colour Collective, who gave brilliant insights into how to choose the right paint shades and the latest decorating trends. As someone who often helps clients create calm, functional spaces through decluttering, I love seeing how colour choices can completely change the mood of a room.

The Cotswold Company – Styled Rooms & Inspiration
Fizz on arrival? Yes please! The Cotswold Company certainly made visitors feel welcome. I didn’t manage to win their “Win Your Wishlist” prize draw (sadly!), but I really enjoyed wandering through their styled room sets.
It’s one thing to see furniture online, but experiencing it in a beautifully curated room makes all the difference. I spoke with the team about current trends and how to make furniture work for all spaces – something I know my clients often find challenging when they’re trying to create more flow and organisation at home.

Susie Watson Designs – Colourful Charm
Every time I walk past Susie Watson’s Knutsford store, I admire the window display – and the event didn’t disappoint. Full of colour, warmth, and texture, it’s a brand that never fails to inspire. For anyone looking to add personality and charm to their home, this shop is a must-visit.

OKA – The Art of Styling
The OKA store was another highlight. Their displays are just brilliant – full of clever ideas about colour, layout, and how to accessorise a room. The lighting in particular really stood out to me; it’s such an important element in creating a welcoming and functional home. As a professional organiser, I know that good lighting can make even the most practical spaces feel more stylish and up lifting.

Bath House – Scent & Style
I’d visited the Bath House store in Ambleside before, so I knew I was in for a treat. The Knutsford store is just as lovely. They shared how scent layering and natural fragrances can help create a luxury, hotel-like feel at home. I love this idea – our homes aren’t just about how they look, but also about how they feel. Small touches like this can make decluttered, organised spaces even more enjoyable to live in.

RI Home – Neutral Inspiration
If you love a calm, neutral palette, RI Home is worth a visit. Their Mallorcan-inspired homeware is simple, elegant, and full of inspiration. It was great to chat with their team about their interior design services. For clients looking to refresh their home after a decluttering project, this style of homeware is a wonderful way to keep things simple yet stylish.

Anna Marczynski – Design with Personality
It was also lovely to see Anna Marczynski Design sponsoring the event and launching their new studio. With fizz, nibbles, and complimentary design consultations alongside Bianca Morgan Architects, it was a great chance to hear about their high-end residential and bespoke projects. Their passion for design shone through, and it’s wonderful to see such creativity thriving in Knutsford.

Why Events Like This Matter
What struck me most about the Knutsford at Home event is how special it is to have something like this right on our doorstep. It’s not just about shopping – it’s about discovering new ideas, connecting with local experts, and sparking inspiration for our own homes.
For me, as a professional home organiser in Cheshire, it was a chance to see how design, colour, and styling can complement the decluttering and organising work I do with clients. Whether it’s choosing the right furniture layout after a big clear-out, adding colour to create a sense of calm, or simply finding joy in beautiful accessories, all of these elements go hand in hand.
Knutsford is full of wonderful businesses, and events like this really highlight the creativity and talent in our community. I left feeling inspired – and excited to share some of these ideas with my clients as they continue their journeys toward calmer, more organised homes.
